Ella at just 17 days old was a very fun shoot for me. Chas works with my husband at the firehouse and I was very excited to try out some photos using the fire gear. The resulting shots are amazing. Ella did an incredible job and such a joy to photograph this little cutie! Thanks Amber for use of the most adorable apple hat too. :)

My venture into a new style of newborn photography began with this sweet little angel. She was just 16 days old in these photos. She was such a good little girl and let me try so many fun poses and new ideas. Thanks Annie for this incredible shoot!

A little about me :)

Hello my name is Julie McGee and welcome to my blog. Photography is my passion and yes I will admit my obsession too (just ask my kids and husband)! I have loved photography since childhood and I have many memories of my parents taking many pictures of us with there all metal SLR camera (film not digital). The love of photography my parents had has been passed down to me and I've had a camera in my hand since the age of 11 (my first was a purple point and shoot). My bedroom walls were plastered with photos taped all over them as a teen and I always had a camera with me. At the age of 20 I purchased my first SLR and from there the rest is history. :)

My passion for photography has only increased over the years especially after giving birth and I've been content with taking many photos of my children, family and friends. I have been happily married for almost 10 years and I am a mom to 3 adorable children (6,4,2). I am now at the place in life where I can pursue the dream that has been in my heart for the last 10 years to make this passion of photography a reality I can share with others!

I enjoy many areas of photography... children, family, seniors, maternity, babies, but my specialty is newborns. I love working with these tiny blessings and capturing such a special time in a family's life.

I live in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio but I gladly will travel (and do so often) to the Columbus area to do a session. :)
